A man was injured after being trapped in a three-vehicle collision near the MRT Kuchai station along Jalan Kuchai Lama on Saturday.
The crash also left three other individuals injured, while two others escaped without any injuries.
The Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) said its Operations Centre received an emergency call via NG999 at 6.53pm regarding the incident.
Following the alert, nine firefighters from the Seputeh Fire and Rescue Station were dispatched to the scene to carry out rescue operations.
According to JBPM, the accident involved three sport utility vehicles (SUVs), namely a Honda HR-V, Proton X50 and Perodua Ativa.
In the Honda HR-V, three victims were involved, including the driver who was trapped inside the vehicle and suffered a fractured right leg, while two female passengers sustained minor injuries.
The Proton X50 involved two occupants, where a female passenger sustained injuries to her hands and legs, while the male driver escaped unharmed.
Meanwhile, the Perodua Ativa driver, also a man, did not suffer any injuries.
Firefighters managed to extricate the trapped victim at 7.30pm, with the rescue operation concluding at 8.22pm.
All injured victims were handed over to the Ministry of Health (KKM) for further treatment.
The operation was led by incident commander Umar Farook Saadon.
