Ten abandoned vehicles obstructing traffic flow were towed away by the Enforcement Department of the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) during an operation carried out yesterday.
Majlis Perbandaran Ampang Jaya (MPAJ) said the enforcement action was taken to ensure smoother traffic movement, more orderly parking arrangements, and to safeguard public safety and interest in the affected areas. Such operations are part of ongoing efforts by local authorities to address urban traffic congestion caused by long-term abandoned vehicles.
In its statement, the council said the vehicles had been identified as abandoned units left in locations that disrupted daily traffic flow. Poor parking discipline and long-term vehicle abandonment have increasingly contributed to congestion and posed safety risks to road users.
