A fire broke out at an ice cream factory at Demak Laut Industrial Park here on Friday afternoon before spreading to a neighbouring factory.
Firefighters from the Tabuan Jaya and Petra Jaya Fire and Rescue stations rushed to the scene after receiving an emergency call at about 12.23pm.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said the blaze involved a storage area containing ice cream powder before spreading to the rear section of the factory and another nearby building.
Firefighting operations were immediately carried out as teams worked to bring the situation under control and prevent the fire from spreading further.
No injuries or casualties were reported in the incident as all factory workers managed to evacuate safely before firefighters arrived.
Authorities are continuing to monitor the situation while investigations into the cause of the fire are expected to be carried out.
