Pakatan Harapan (PH) will officially unveil its lineup of candidates for the upcoming Negeri Sembilan state election during a special event on Tuesday night.
According to a post on PH’s official Facebook page, the announcement will be made by PH chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at the coalition’s candidate launch ceremony at Dataran Melang in Kuala Pilah.
The event is expected to be attended by several senior PH leaders, including deputy chairman Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu, DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke, and Negeri Sembilan PH chairman Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun.
The Negeri Sembilan state election will officially begin with Nomination Day on Saturday, while polling is scheduled to take place on 1 August.
Aminuddin, who also served as the state’s Menteri Besar, has confirmed that PH will contest all 36 State Legislative Assembly (DUN) seats independently, without electoral cooperation with Barisan Nasional (BN).
Under the seat allocation, PKR will contest 16 seats, DAP will field candidates in 11 seats, while Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) will contest the remaining nine constituencies.
So far, Anthony Loke, who is also the DAP Negeri Sembilan chairman, has confirmed several key candidates and constituencies that the party will contest.
Loke himself has repeatedly announced that he will defend the Chennah state seat, which he has successfully held for three consecutive terms.
