Grab Passenger Claims Driver Charged RM6 For Wet Tissue And Refused To Unlock Car Until She Paid

Date:

A Grab passenger has gone viral after claiming her driver demanded S$2 (approximately RM6.31) for a wet tissue he offered during the ride and allegedly refused to let her leave the vehicle until she paid.

Singaporean model Fiona Fussi shared the incident on TikTok, describing it as “one of the worst Grab experiences” she has ever had.

According to Fussi, she had a runny nose during the journey and asked the driver if he had any tissues.

She claimed the driver initially replied sharply, saying “No,” and she accepted the response without asking again.

However, about five minutes later, the driver allegedly told her that he did, in fact, have wet tissues. Believing it was a kind gesture, Fussi accepted them without expecting to be charged.

She alleged that the surprise came when they reached her destination.

According to Fussi, the driver turned around and told her she owed him S$2 (about RM6.31) for the wet tissue.

“It’s not about the S$2 (RM6.31). It’s not expensive. It’s the principle that he never told me he was charging me money. I thought he was just being nice,” she said in her TikTok video.

Fussi further claimed the situation became even more uncomfortable when the driver allegedly locked the vehicle’s doors and refused to let her get out until she paid for the tissue.

She described the incident as stressful and questioned whether such behaviour was acceptable.

Following the video’s viral spread, Grab responded publicly in the comments section, apologising for her experience and asking her to send a direct message with her booking details so the company could investigate the matter.

Fussi has since acknowledged the company’s response by liking the comment.
