Driver Escapes Unhurt As Car Bursts Into Flames In Samalaju

A driver escaped without injuries after the car he was travelling in was completely destroyed by fire along the Samalaju–Bakun junction early Wednesday.

The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said it received an emergency call regarding the incident at 12.23am before deploying a team from the Samalaju Fire and Rescue Station to the location.

Upon arrival, firefighters found the vehicle fully engulfed in flames on the roadside, with the fire having already caused extensive damage to the car.

Bomba personnel immediately carried out firefighting operations and successfully brought the blaze under control.

The operation was completed at 1.24am after firefighters ensured the area was safe and no further danger remained.

The driver was confirmed to have escaped the incident without any injuries.
