Zendaya Confirms Marriage To Tom Holland With Three-Word Reply To Fan’s Proposal

Date:

Actress Zendaya has seemingly confirmed her marriage to Tom Holland with a witty three-word response after a fan jokingly proposed to her during a public appearance in Mexico.

The moment took place at the Spider-Man: Brand New Day fan event on 20 July, where Zendaya was walking the red carpet when a fan shouted, “Will you marry me, please?”

Without missing a beat, the 29-year-old actress smiled and replied, “You’re too late!” Her response, captured on video and widely shared on social media, quickly went viral and was seen by many fans as another confirmation that she and Holland are officially married.

Although the couple have yet to reveal details of their wedding, Holland confirmed their marriage in June while dismissing AI-generated wedding photos during an interview with Esquire.

Speaking about the fake images, the 30-year-old actor said his family knew they were fabricated because “they were all there” at the couple’s actual wedding.

Rumours that the pair had tied the knot first gained momentum in March, when Zendaya’s longtime stylist Law Roach claimed the wedding had “already happened” during an interview on the red carpet at the 2026 Actor Awards.

Later that month, Zendaya further fuelled speculation by wearing a wedding band alongside her engagement ring at the 2026 Oscars, and she has continued wearing the ring ever since.

Zendaya and Holland first met while filming Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2017, where they played on-screen couple Peter Parker and MJ.

After years of dating rumours, their relationship was officially confirmed in 2021 when they were photographed kissing inside a car. Later that year, Holland made their romance Instagram official by sharing a birthday tribute to Zendaya and referring to her as “my MJ.”

Despite being one of Hollywood’s most high-profile couples, the pair have consistently kept their relationship private.

Holland previously said they are “incredibly protective” of their relationship and do not feel they owe the public access to their private lives.

Zendaya has also spoken about wanting to “protect the peace” in their relationship, saying while some aspects of her life will always be public, she still chooses what she shares with the world.
