Alternative Medicine Practitioner Arrested Over Alleged Sexual Assault Of Female Clients

A male alternative medicine practitioner has been arrested after being accused of sexually assaulting female customers at a treatment centre in Senawang last month.

Negeri Sembilan Deputy Police Chief Senior Assistant Commissioner Mohd Nasharudin Mohd Shariff said the suspect, who is in his 60s, was arrested on July 27 in the Senawang area.

He said police are currently investigating allegations involving the practitioner, with four reports lodged in connection with the case so far.

“Investigations are ongoing, including recording statements from complainants and witnesses, as well as obtaining relevant evidence linked to the case,” he said in a statement on Thursday.

Mohd Nasharudin said the arrest was carried out by officers from the Criminal Investigation Division of the Seremban District Police Headquarters following information received regarding the alleged offences.

The case is being investigated under Section 354 and Section 509 of the Penal Code, as well as Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.

Police advised the public not to speculate or spread unverified information that could interfere with the ongoing investigation.

Members of the public who have information related to the case have been urged to come forward and assist police by contacting the nearest police station.

Previously, influencer Caprice uploaded a video featuring several individuals who claimed they were victims of alleged misconduct by the alternative medicine practitioner while seeking treatment.
