Zebrew Pulls “Santubong” Craft Beer From Shelves After Public Response

Date:

Local craft beer maker Zebrew has announced it will discontinue its “Santubong” product line following overwhelming public attention surrounding the name.

In a statement released this week, the company said that after “much thought” it had decided the Santubong name and product “will no longer be used going forward” and confirmed that the beer “has been removed from the shelves.”

Zebrew did not elaborate on the specific reasons for the decision but described it as a move to “mark history” with the product after its unexpected public response.

The announcement signals the end of one of Zebrew’s more recognisable offerings and suggests the brand may shift focus to other lines in its craft beer portfolio.
