An Indonesian woman was left stunned after a package she ordered online containing quail eggs arrived with several newly hatched chicks inside.
According to Indonesian news portal Lambe Turah, a video uploaded to Threads by user @ayu_ocha_wahyuni showed the woman opening the package shortly after it was delivered.
To her surprise, several tiny quail chicks emerged from the parcel and began walking around.
The woman said she had ordered the quail eggs online intending to use them as bait for fishing.
The unexpected delivery quickly went viral on social media, attracting a wave of amused reactions from netizens.
Some users jokingly praised the seller for providing eggs that were arguably “extremely fresh”, while others suggested that the woman should simply raise the chicks.
“Raise them until they grow up, then they can lay eggs for you,” one netizen commented.
Another questioned why she had chosen to buy the eggs online when quail eggs were readily available at local markets.
