Baba Vanga’s 2025 Predictions Are Terrifying The Internet: WWIII, Mega-Quakes & Aliens

Date:

Although famed Bulgarian mystic Baba Vanga—nicknamed the “Blind Prophet”—passed away in 1996, her followers continue to pore over her prophecies, which still spark public fascination. One of her most-discussed forecasts warned that in the spring of 2025 a war would erupt in the East and could even lead to World War III. She also predicted that 2026 would bring massive earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and extreme weather events that could devastate ecosystems and human habitats.

According to The Economic Times and other international outlets, Vanga allegedly foresaw Russia ultimately “dominating the world” and Europe turning into a “wasteland.” Her devotees interpret this as a possible reference to China’s potential move on Taiwan, which they believe could ignite a U.S.–Russia confrontation.

Vanga’s other predictions for 2026 have also gone viral. She warned of catastrophic natural disasters that could wipe out up to eight percent of Earth’s landmass. She further predicted that artificial intelligence would reach a level of dominance over human life—impacting jobs, relationships and everyday living—raising fears of humanity losing control over technology. Perhaps most sensationally, she claimed a massive extraterrestrial spacecraft would enter Earth’s atmosphere in November 2026, marking humanity’s first contact with alien life.

Her prophecies are being linked to today’s headlines. The Russia–Ukraine war has entered its fourth year, and tensions with NATO have intensified. Recently, Russian drones reportedly violated NATO airspace over Poland during overnight attacks on Ukraine. Poland labeled the incursions an “act of aggression,” issued air raid warnings to millions of residents, and triggered NATO’s Article 4 consultations. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte condemned Russia’s “reckless” actions and warned President Vladimir Putin to stop escalating the war and violating allied airspace, pledging to defend “every inch” of NATO territory.

At the same time, major earthquakes are striking worldwide. This year alone, one magnitude-8.0 quake, ten between 7.0 and 7.9, and nearly 100 between 6.0 and 6.9 have been recorded—including Myanmar’s deadly 7.7-magnitude quake in March that killed more than 5,300 people, Afghanistan’s August quake that killed 3,200, and Tibet’s January quake that killed 126. Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula experienced an 8.8-magnitude quake in July, killing 34, followed by a 7.8-magnitude tremor on September 19 and multiple aftershocks. Authorities issued tsunami warnings for the Pacific coastline.

Who Was Baba Vanga?
Born Vangeliya Pandeva Dimitrova in 1911 in what is now North Macedonia, Vanga lost her sight at age 12 after being swept up by a tornado. In her 30s she began attracting attention for her strikingly accurate predictions, which reportedly included the death of Princess Diana, the 9/11 attacks, and the COVID-19 pandemic. In 1990 she even predicted the date of her own death, which came true on August 11, 1996, at the age of 84. Her former home in Petrich, Bulgaria has since been turned into a museum.
