Man Dies After Being Thrown From Motorcycle In Deadly Collision With Car

A man was killed after being thrown off his motorcycle in a collision with a car at Taman Nesa, Sungai Wangi near Sitiawan tonight.

Perak Fire and Rescue Department acting assistant operations director Shazlean Mohd Hanafiah said the department received a call at 7.34pm before a team from the Sitiawan Fire and Rescue Station rushed to the scene.

“The accident involved two vehicles – a Honda EX5 motorcycle and a Honda Civic car.

“The man, believed to be in his 50s, was thrown off and hit a fence post. However, the car driver was not at the scene when the rescue team arrived,” he said in a statement tonight.

Shazlean said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by health personnel and the body was handed over to the police for further action.

He added that the operation ended at 8.44pm.
