A woman was left frightened after discovering that the front headrests of an e-hailing vehicle she had booked were covered with images resembling ghostly faces.
According to The Thaiger, the woman shared her experience in the ‘We Are Consumers’ Facebook group last Tuesday, describing the ride as a disturbing and frightening experience.
She said she immediately felt uncomfortable after getting into the vehicle but decided to continue with the journey because she was in a hurry.
Photos she shared showed both front headrests covered with pale human-like faces with wide-open eyes, resembling characters from a horror film.
A wooden board displaying several rules for passengers could also be seen hanging behind one of the seats.
The woman claimed she had lodged a complaint with the e-hailing company’s customer service but felt her concerns had not been given sufficient attention.
She also posted photographs of the vehicle’s exterior, which appeared to show several body panels missing from the rear section.
The e-hailing company later confirmed that it had received the passenger’s complaint and was investigating the matter.
It also contacted the woman to obtain further information about the incident.
The driver’s access to the e-hailing platform has been suspended while investigations are ongoing, including checks to determine whether the vehicle meets the required safety and roadworthiness standards.
The company said appropriate action would be taken based on the findings of the investigation, while stressing that passenger safety and comfort remain its priorities.
