Mother And Two Sons Found Dead After Kluang House Fire

Three family members were found dead inside a room after a two-storey terrace house caught fire in Taman Titiwangsa, Kluang, on Wednesday night.

The victims were identified as Noraini Ibrahim, 49, and her two sons, Khairul Nurhaziq Khairul Nizam, 18, and Khairul Nurhadiff, 11.

Senior Operations Commander Senior Assistant Fire Chief Mohd Fauzi Md Nor said the fire was reported at about 10.44pm, prompting the Fire and Rescue Department to dispatch personnel and fire engines to the scene.

The first fire engine arrived at about 10.49pm and immediately began firefighting operations.

“When the Operations Response Team arrived, the two-storey terrace house was on fire, with the damage estimated at 50 per cent,” he said.

The three victims were found inside one of the rooms and were confirmed dead by medical officers from the Ministry of Health.

All three bodies were subsequently taken to Enche Besar Hajjah Kalsom Hospital for further action.
