The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in several areas of Sarawak and Sabah until 11am today, as well as across Penang until noon.
In Sarawak, the affected areas are Limbang; Miri, covering Miri and Subis; and Kuching, covering Lundu and Kuching.
In Sabah, the warning covers the West Coast division, involving Penampang, Putatan, Papar, Tuaran, Ranau and Kota Kinabalu.
It also affects the Interior division, including Membakut, Beaufort, Kuala Penyu, Tambunan, Keningau and Tenom.
The public in the affected areas has been advised to remain alert and take necessary precautions as the adverse weather conditions persist.
