A man in Karanganyar, Tangerang City, Banten, Indonesia, was left stunned after discovering a nearly three-metre python emerging from the toilet bowl at his home recently.
Homeowner Arbiyanto Ardi said the incident came to light after his son spotted the snake following the discovery of a rat emerging from the toilet a day earlier.
“A rat came out of the toilet bowl the day before the incident. The next day, my son saw the snake’s head sticking out,” he said, as reported by Detik.
Arbiyanto then sought help from local residents to remove the reptile after Maghrib prayers.
The effort took several hours before four adult men successfully pulled the python out of the toilet bowl at around 11pm local time.
The non-venomous snake was later released in a habitat far from residential areas to prevent it from returning to the neighbourhood.
