Negeri Sembilan Health, Unity, Information, National Integration and Non-Governmental Organisations Exco Suhaimizan Bizar has confirmed receiving a letter cancelling his appointment with immediate effect on Sunday night.
However, the Gemencheh assemblyman declined to elaborate on the matter.
“I received the letter last night via WhatsApp. But I cannot comment. Sorry.
“I am also not sure who sent it. I think it was from the Palace,” he said briefly in a WhatsApp message.
Sinar Harian also attempted to contact several other state executive councillors for further details on the cancellation of their appointments but was unsuccessful.
Earlier, Yang di-Pertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir revoked the appointments of all members of the State Executive Council with immediate effect.
According to a statement issued by Comptroller of the Royal Household of Negeri Sembilan Datuk Azizi Mohamad Ali, the decision was made after the ruler found that all the affected exco members had breached the oaths they took upon assuming office.
