A parking ticket machine at a shopping mall in Selangor left shoppers in stitches after it malfunctioned and spewed out more than 20 parking cards at once — prompting jokes online about “collecting 50 cards to redeem an iPhone.”
A viral video circulating on social media shows two women arriving at the mall’s parking entrance as usual. Initially, the machine dispensed three tickets, but as one of the women reached out to collect them, the machine suddenly went into overdrive, spitting out ticket after ticket without stopping.
The stunned driver could only watch as the cards piled up in front of her car, while her passenger laughed at the bizarre scene. The footage has since been widely shared, with amused netizens comparing it to arcade games where players collect long strings of tickets to redeem prizes.
Mall management has yet to issue a statement about the malfunction, but the clip has already become a lighthearted talking point among social media users.
