A 91-year-old former police officer in Wajo Regency, South Sulawesi, Indonesia, has married a 32-year-old woman, with their 59-year age gap drawing attention online.
The groom, identified as H Muhammad, married Megawati, 32, who is from Soppeng Regency, according to Indonesian news outlet Lambe Turah.
Despite the significant age difference, the couple went ahead with their marriage, which marked Muhammad’s fifth time tying the knot.
A video uploaded to TikTok by @sosmed.sinjai showed Muhammad kissing his bride on the forehead after their marriage solemnisation ceremony.
He reportedly gave Megawati a dowry of 44 riyals, equivalent to around RM48.
The video has since attracted more than 57,000 views and prompted various reactions from netizens.
