A female student was knocked down by a motorcycle while crossing a zebra crossing outside a secondary school in Sungai Buloh, Selangor, leaving her injured and shaken bystanders rushing to help.
The incident is believed to have occurred at around 11.36am yesterday on a road outside a national secondary school in the area.
Dashcam footage circulating on social media showed the student, dressed in her school uniform, getting out of a white car before walking towards the zebra crossing to cross the road.
As she reached the middle of the crossing, a motorcycle approaching the area appeared unable to avoid her and struck the student, sending her crashing onto the road.
The footage showed the student landing heavily on the ground following the impact.
The driver of the car she had travelled in and several members of the public were then seen getting out to check on her.
Her current condition remains unclear.
China Press reported that it had contacted police for further information, but no response had been received at the time of publication.
The circumstances surrounding the crash, including the speed of the motorcycle and whether any action will be taken, have not been confirmed.
