Malaysian professional badminton player Lee Zii Jia has applied for an interim injunction at the Kuala Lumpur High Court to prevent his father and sister from making certain financial and management decisions involving LZJ Management while a legal dispute is ongoing.
The application was filed through a writ dated July 2, 2026, naming his father, Lee Chee Hin, and sister, Lee Zii Yii, as respondents.
Zii Jia also named his younger brother, Lee Tao, and LZJ Management in the legal proceedings.
He is seeking to prevent Chee Hin and Zii Yii, who are also directors of the company, from approving directors’ fees, allowances, bonuses or other financial benefits for themselves beyond their respective monthly salaries.
The application also seeks to restrict decisions involving the appointment or removal of directors, the appointment of a company secretary, the disposal of major assets, the issuance of new shares and changes to the company’s shareholding structure without court approval.
According to the application, Zii Jia claims to own a 90 per cent stake in LZJ Management, while Zii Yii holds nine per cent and Lee Tao owns the remaining one per cent.
In addition to the interim injunction, the badminton player is seeking a court order for an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) to be held to discuss matters relating to the company’s management and corporate governance.
