Two women have taken to social media to share separate encounters with a man allegedly exposing himself in public areas around Shah Alam, prompting warnings for others to remain vigilant.
In a Threads post, user @ba.driana recounted an incident at a bus stop in Section 7, Shah Alam, at about 3pm on Oct 15.
She said she initially thought the man was waiting for someone before noticing suspicious hand movements concealed beneath his jacket.
“At first, I saw him making a call, and I noticed he was holding a bottle that looked like it contained oil.
“I was just waiting for the bus when I suddenly saw his hand moving rapidly, but he was covering it with his jacket. I immediately got up and ran to a corner near the bus stop,” she wrote.
The woman said she moved away out of fear, adding that other women at the location appeared unaware of the man’s alleged actions.
She claimed the man later left on a motorcycle after the waiting passengers had boarded their bus.
However, she managed to note down the motorcycle’s registration number before he left.
In a separate Threads post, another user, @happy.popsicles, alleged that she and her friends had encountered a similar incident near Shah Alam Lake.
She said the man initially approached one of her friends at a gazebo before moving towards a nearby rubbish bin.
According to her account, the group became suspicious when the man moved away, only for him to allegedly open his trousers, leaving them shocked.
“At first, we wondered why he approached our friend at the gazebo. One of my friends had a bad feeling about him and went over to the gazebo. The man then ran towards the area near the rubbish bin.
“Then, suddenly, he opened his trousers!” she wrote.
The two accounts have drawn attention on social media, with users reminding the public, particularly women, to remain alert when in public spaces.
The allegations in both posts have not been independently verified.
