A stray cat suspected of being sexually abused in Kampung Pandan Dalam, Ampang Jaya, last week has died after a week of treatment at a veterinary clinic.
Pandan, a male orange cat believed to be under two years old, was found with severe bleeding and a large tear around its anus. The injured cat was discovered sitting helplessly on the ground in a residential neighbourhood, unable to walk.
The cat was later rescued by Azizul, an operator of Hotel Kucing RM10 who helps stray cats, and rushed to a private veterinary clinic in Shah Alam for emergency treatment.
However, Azizul informed China Press this afternoon that Pandan had died at the clinic at 9am on Friday.
“Unfortunately, we were unable to save Pandan. Two cats crossed the rainbow bridge today. The other one, named Iron, passed away at another clinic,” he said.
