A 32-year-old woman from Uzbekistan survived a jump from the eighth floor of a condominium in Pattaya after landing in its swimming pool.
The incident occurred at around 3am on Oct 31, following an argument with a 41-year-old Turkish man inside their room, according to Khaosod English.
The woman reportedly jumped from the balcony without wearing any clothes but escaped without injuries after falling into the pool.
A rescue volunteer told the news outlet that the man, who had sustained a head injury and was bleeding, ran downstairs to seek help.
Meanwhile, the woman locked the room door from inside before going out onto the balcony naked.
When police later searched the room, they found drug paraphernalia and signs of a struggle.
Sin Chew Daily News reported that the woman was intoxicated and incoherent when she was found, and was not wearing any clothes.
Rescue workers at the scene covered her with a towel.
Police are investigating what triggered the argument and questioning both individuals before deciding on further legal action, Khaosod English reported.
