‘No Money For Milk, But This?’: M’sian Woman Finds Suspected Drugs In Husband’s Bag

Date:

A Malaysian woman has turned to social media for help after discovering a suspicious substance in her husband’s bag while struggling to afford basic necessities for their child.

In a post on Threads, she shared a photograph of a small transparent packet containing a white crystalline substance and asked netizens whether it could be drugs.

The woman said she had been borrowing money to buy milk and diapers for their child, while her husband was frequently short of cash.

The discovery left her wondering whether his financial difficulties were linked to possible drug use.

“I’ve had to borrow money from people to buy our child’s milk and diapers, yet you could do something like this?” she wrote.

She also claimed to be struggling with outstanding buy now, pay later (BNPL) payments, adding that she was receiving daily calls over the unpaid debt.

The situation prompted her to question what her husband had been spending money on while she struggled to meet their child’s needs.

When a netizen asked how long they had been married, the woman replied that they had been together for 10 years.

In another response, she said she had not previously known about her husband’s alleged drug use and had only recently discovered the suspected substance.

Her post attracted concerned reactions, with several commenters speculating that the substance could be “ice” or “syabu”. However, these claims remain unverified, as the substance has not been confirmed by the authorities.

Some users urged her to prioritise her safety and her child’s wellbeing, advising her to seek police assistance if her husband’s behaviour became uncontrollable.

“Please take good care of yourself and your child. I pray that things will be made easier for you,” one commenter wrote.

Others encouraged her to seek help from the National Anti-Drugs Agency (AADK), with one suggesting that she keep the suspected substance as evidence and contact the agency.

There has been no official confirmation of the substance’s identity or evidence establishing whether her husband had consumed it. A photograph alone is insufficient to determine whether the packet contained illegal drugs.
