Woman Writes “I Hate Kids” on iPad After Child Kicks Seat on Train

Date:

A viral video from Nanjing, China, shows a heated confrontation on a high-speed train after a young boy repeatedly kicked the seat of the woman sitting behind him. Frustrated after an hour or more of the disturbance, the woman wrote “I hate children, don’t touch me, don’t bring them if you can’t control them” on her iPad.

The boy’s parents responded via phone, telling her, “I hate people without manners, if you don’t like it, leave,” and even had their child read the message aloud. The exchange quickly escalated into a loud argument between the two parties.

Eyewitnesses reported that the woman eventually cried and was given a seat change with the help of train staff. The train company advised that in similar situations, passengers should avoid confrontation and seek staff assistance for mediation or seat changes.

The incident sparked debate online, with many netizens criticizing the parents. Comments included, “She just put up a message that didn’t affect anyone, but the child disturbed the whole train,” “It’s really annoying when children keep kicking seats; I’ve experienced it multiple times,” and “The problem is the parents, not the woman showing her frustration on the screen.”
