A Siberian husky was rescued in Phuket after it was allegedly buried alive by its foreign owner, with only its head left above ground. The shocking discovery was made in the Rawai subdistrict of Muang district, after nearby residents heard the distressed animal crying and called for help, according to local news reports.

The Facebook page “ขยะมรสุมฯ” first reported the incident on Wednesday, revealing that a foreign man was seen rushing to assist the dog as officials arrived. Concerned residents contacted local MP Chalermpong Saengdee and Rawai Mayor Themsak Kraithat, who led a rescue team including police and members of the Soi Dog Foundation to the property on Soi Suksan 1.
Upon arrival, the team dug the husky out and also rescued two other Siberian huskies found on the premises. All three dogs were placed in the care of the Soi Dog Foundation, where they will receive medical attention and shelter until they are fit for adoption.
The foreign man suspected of burying the dog is currently under police investigation. Soi Dog Foundation staff initially spoke to him to gather preliminary details before handing the case over to law enforcement. Authorities have confirmed that legal action will follow based on the findings of the ongoing investigation.
