Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has announced that the Health Ministry will receive RM46.5 billion, up from RM45.3 billion, under the latest budget.
He emphasized the government’s commitment to tackling six major challenges in the healthcare sector, including enhancing the quality of public healthcare infrastructure.
“All government hospitals and clinics will undergo maintenance and refurbishment with an allocation of RM1.2 billion, while district hospital wards nationwide will be upgraded with RM100 million,” he said.
Additionally, outdated medical equipment will be replaced, and advanced tools for emerging medical disciplines will be procured with RM755 million to strengthen healthcare services nationwide.
