A man tragically died early this morning after the Perodua Bezza he was driving collided with a trailer on Jalan Chemor.
According to Shazlean Mohd Hanafiah, Acting Deputy Director of Operations at the Perak Fire and Rescue Department, the 39-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.
A team from the Ipoh Fire and Rescue Station was rushed to the location, about 13 kilometers away, after receiving the emergency call at 3:48 a.m.
“The accident involved a Perodua Bezza and a trailer carrying raw cement. Firefighters used hydraulic cutters to remove parts of the vehicle to extricate the victim,” Shazlean stated.
The victim’s body was handed over to the police for further investigation, and the rescue operation concluded approximately an hour later.
