Two Young Boys Found Dead After Drowning In Johor Lake Late At Night

Two young boys were found drowned at Tasik Menawan, Pelangi Indah, early this morning. The Fire and Rescue Department received an emergency call at 9.44 p.m. last night and arrived at the scene within 10 minutes.

Senior Fire Officer II Mohd Shafie Md Din from the Johor Jaya Fire and Rescue Station said that upon arrival, rescuers discovered two pairs of slippers believed to belong to the victims — Muhammad Rayyan Iskandar Mohamed Hafizee, 9, and Muhammad Khalish Rayqarl Hasimudi, 10.

Both boys were later found trapped under rocks at a depth of three meters, approximately five meters from the edge of the lake, at around 2.28 a.m.
