Netizens panicked when ZUS Coffee announced it was “closing operations”—but breathe easy, it’s only for one day on Thursday, October 23, 2025! The temporary closure is actually a celebration of their milestone 1,000th outlet, and a day off for all staff to honor their hard work.
In a heartfelt social media post, ZUS Coffee thanked fans, employees, and partners for helping the brand grow. “Each of our 999 outlets exists because of you—our loyal Zuristas, amazing team, and supportive partners. You’ve built this brand with us, cup by cup,” the post read.
While most outlets close for the day, some locations—including 1 Utama, Mid Valley, Pavilion Bukit Jalil, Sunway Pyramid, and Suria KLCC—will remain open or close after 6 PM. Airports and select food courts, like KLIA Domestic Gate A and Langkawi International Airport, will operate as usual.
Fans reacted with relief and excitement. “I nearly had a heart attack! Turns out it’s just one day,” one wrote. Another praised the gesture: “So nice they give their staff a day off—rare in F&B!”
This milestone comes six years after ZUS Coffee was founded by co-founder and CEO Venon Tian. Today, the brand boasts over 900 outlets and 6,000 staff, making it the fastest-growing coffee chain in Southeast Asia. With expansion plans into Pakistan and Morocco in early 2026, ZUS Coffee isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
What started as a shocking announcement turned into a celebratory moment for fans and staff alike, proving that ZUS Coffee knows how to keep everyone buzzing—literally and figuratively!
