Do you believe in magic? Or perhaps, things that can’t be explained by logic? A strange discussion is making waves online after a netizen on platform “X” warned people to stay away if they ever see someone enter a toilet wearing their ring backwards—and then flip it back afterward.
According to Sin Chew Daily, the user “@mhmmdhsm” claimed that this eerie act might be tied to black magic. The post explained, “Don’t go near that person. Their ring has its own magic—inside it lives a ‘servant’ that looks after them, and that spirit doesn’t like the energy inside toilets.”
The revelation sparked a flurry of online comments, with many users sharing spine-tingling experiences. One person said a stranger once asked them to “hold his ring” outside a toilet. When they refused, the man got upset. “If they can’t place it anywhere, they’ll just flip the ring backwards temporarily,” the post explained.
Another user recalled smoking beside a man wearing a ring, only for him to suddenly snap: “Go smoke somewhere else—my friend doesn’t like it!” The smoker was left confused—there were only two people there. “Who’s this friend?” they wondered.
Some even shared that their late relatives used to collect such rings, only for them to mysteriously vanish after the owners passed away.
One commenter offered a different view, saying the rings might contain religious inscriptions, such as the word “Allah,” explaining why wearers treat them with such care and ritual.
Whatever the truth is, one thing’s certain—the mystery of the reversed ring has definitely cast a spell over social media.
