Motorcyclist Killed After High-Powered Bike Crashes Into Car in Kluang

A 56-year-old motorcyclist was killed after his high-powered Honda CBR1000RR collided with a car at a junction along the Batu Pahat–Mersing road near Masjid Sri Lalang last night.

Kluang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Bahrin Mohd Noh said preliminary investigations found that the victim, Mohamad Rais Mustor, was travelling from Ayer Hitam towards Kluang when a car driven by a 74-year-old man coming from the opposite direction made a sudden right turn.

Unable to avoid the vehicle, Mohamad Rais crashed into the car and died at the scene from severe head injuries. The driver was unharmed, while his 70-year-old wife suffered chest injuries and is receiving treatment at Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital.

Police are investigating the case under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
