DBKL Offers Affordable 490 Rental Units for Young Male Workers and Trainees in KL

The Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL) has begun accepting applications for Residensi Belia Cheras (RBC), offering fully furnished rental units for single Malaysian men aged 18 to 40 who are working or undergoing industrial training in Kuala Lumpur.

Each unit comes equipped with basic furniture and access to facilities including a surau, sports facilities, multipurpose hall, lift, and a security guard post. Units for standard applicants are available at RM200 per month, while those for persons with disabilities (OKU) are priced at RM130 per month.

Residensi Belia Cheras is conveniently located just 120 metres from the Cheras LRT station, making it easily accessible on foot.

Eligibility requirements include:

  • Malaysian citizenship
  • Single (unmarried) status
  • Aged 18–40
  • Employment or undergoing industrial training in Kuala Lumpur
  • No property ownership within 35 km of the city centre
  • Monthly income of RM4,000 or less

Applicants must submit the following documents in WinRAR or WinZip format:

  • Passport-sized photo
  • Copy of identity card (JPEG)
  • Certificate of single status (from employer, JPN registrar, imam, or community leader)
  • Latest salary slip
  • OKU card (if applicable)

Incomplete applications will not be processed. Applicants will be notified of their status via the registered email.

A total of 490 units are available.
