Fitness Coach Dies of Cardiac Arrest After Extreme Binge-Eating Challenge

Date:

A Russian fitness coach and social media influencer, Dmitry Nuyanzin, 30, tragically died of cardiac arrest after participating in an extreme binge-eating challenge designed to promote his new weight-loss program.

Nuyanzin, based in Orenburg, reportedly spent several weeks consuming up to 10,000 calories per day in an effort to gain more than 50 lbs., intending to later lose the weight through his program. In just one month, he gained nearly 30 lbs., documenting his challenge on social media and promising prizes to participants who successfully lost 10% of their body weight using his program.

According to reports, Nuyanzin began feeling unwell and canceled his training sessions, intending to see a doctor, but he died in his sleep from cardiac arrest. His diet during the challenge included high-cholesterol foods such as pastries, dumplings with mayonnaise, burgers, pizzas, and snacks throughout the day.

The incident sparked tributes online, with friends and followers remembering him as a “bright” and “incredible” person. Medical experts note that rapid weight gain and excessive caloric intake can significantly strain the heart, as it must work harder to circulate blood through increased body mass.

Nuyanzin’s death highlights the dangers of extreme diet challenges and the risks of using one’s body for social media stunts or promotional purposes.
