Netizen Shares Hilarious Iftar Fail: Orders Extra Crispy Cabbage, Gets Half-Cut Raw Cabbage

Date:

A Malaysian customer’s iftar craving quickly turned into a mix of amusement and disbelief when her ayam gepuk order went hilariously wrong.

Sharing her experience on Threads, @nreisyalis recounted how she had scrolled through social media posts and decided to place a 7pm order from Ayam Gepuk Pak Gendut, requesting a crispy chicken set with the thigh piece and extra cabbage. However, when the delivery arrived, excitement turned into confusion.

Instead of the extra crispy cabbage she had hoped for, the meal included a half-cut raw cabbage alongside the chicken. @nreisyalis explained the mix-up might have been due to her frequent use of exclamation marks in messages—a habit she uses to express guilt or politeness.

As a caretaker for an elderly family member, she relied on the meal for a quick iftar, leaving little time to cook. While some netizens joked that she was being “demanding” by specifying the thigh, she clarified that previous orders had never caused issues. Others suggested she could make use of the cabbage over the next few days.

Supportive users shared similar experiences to lighten the mood. One wrote, “Taking care of the sick will surely bring rewards. Well, here’s half a cabbage as the reward!” while another recalled receiving an entire bottle of soy sauce with their ayam gepuk order. The post quickly became a humorous reminder of the unpredictability of online food deliveries.
