Singapore-based plant-based milk brand Oatside is broadening its product line with the introduction of new soya and almond milk options, debuting on March 9.

The range includes two variants: Nobo Soy, described as smooth, lightly roasted and subtly sweet, and Nobo Almond Soy, which offers a nuttier, more vegetal taste. Both are crafted with a thick, creamy texture tailored to local tastes.
Founder Benedict Lim said the move aims to reinvigorate interest in plant-based milks beyond oat milk, which remains popular among young adults. While Oatside now distributes in 19 markets globally, Lim notes that Gen Z and millennial consumers have grown less enthusiastic about traditional soya and almond milk. “Soya milk isn’t something you can get excited about anymore, so hopefully we can get people talking about it again, posting about it on social media,” he said.
The new products are free from added oils, gums, emulsifiers, or protein powders, targeting health-conscious consumers aged 20 to 35 who seek nutritious yet tasty beverages. Nutritionally, 100ml of Nobo Soy contains 4g of protein and under 5g of sugar, earning a B Nutri-Grade, compared with Yeo’s soya milk at 2g protein and 7.7g sugar, and NutriSoy Original Fresh Soya Milk at 4.3g protein and 4.9g sugar.
Lim also highlighted Oatside’s proprietary method to eliminate the “beany” flavour often associated with soya milk. Using custom double extraction technology, non-GMO Canadian soya beans are roasted and flash-cooled, giving the milk a flavour reminiscent of kinako powder, creating a smoother, more appealing taste for modern consumers.
