Singapore Man Wins RM960,000 in Hunt The Mouse Gold Coin Challenge

Date:

A lucky participant in Singapore has unearthed the coveted Hunt The Mouse gold coin worth S$250,000 (around RM960,000) in Upper Thomson.

According to a Facebook post by Singapore-based gamification company Sqkii on Feb. 28, the coin was discovered under a tree along Tagore Road at 11:32pm by player Jun Liang.

A clip shared on Sqkii’s Instagram story captured Jun Liang holding the SG60-edition gold coin, posing with it briefly, then returning it to its original location while filming the surrounding area.

Sqkii confirmed that its team conducted a “thorough verification process” and validated that Jun Liang found the coin “fair and square” by correctly solving the provided hints and cross-referencing map grids. The company, which collaborated with fintech firm Revolut, stated that Jun Liang is officially eligible for the S$250,000 prize.

With the gold coin now recovered, Sqkii revealed plans to announce winners of its IKWL gameplay segment at an official determination event overseen by an independent third-party scrutineer. Additional details about the event and other prize winners will be shared in the coming days.

The high-stakes Hunt The Mouse challenge required participants to decode a series of clues and navigate a gridded map to locate hidden gold and silver coins. Daily hints were provided on social media to assist players, with silver coins valued at a minimum of S$500 (approximately RM1,920).
