A couple from Johor Bahru had a terrifying scare when they discovered their 2-year-old son was missing during their journey home. Fortunately, the toddler was safely reunited with his parents after a kind stranger brought him to the Raub Police Station.
The boy was spotted loitering outside Restoran Azmi Stim in Raub, Pahang, on Dec 1. A passerby stayed with him for 45 minutes, hoping his family would appear. When no one came, he was taken to the local police station.
Police later contacted the parents, who immediately rushed to collect their son at 4pm. The family explained that they had been traveling in two separate vehicles from Johor Bahru to Tersan, Dong, and had stopped at the restaurant for a meal. In the confusion, they mistakenly assumed the boy had boarded one of the cars after the meal.
The incident was described as a result of miscommunication. Authorities reminded parents to always monitor their children closely to prevent similar incidents.
