A Singapore Airlines passenger sparked a debate online after sharing his disappointment on TikTok about missing out on his preferred chicken meal during a London-to-Singapore flight.
The passenger, seated near the back of the 13-hour flight, said that when the meal trolley reached him, only fish options remained, despite having confirmed beforehand that chicken would be served. He added that he only ate part of the breakfast and suffered an upset stomach, expressing surprise at the limited choices for rear-row passengers.
Reactions on social media were mixed. Some users sympathized with him, suggesting airlines should better manage meal distribution, while others pointed out that passengers could pre-order special meals or choose front-row seats to secure their preferred options.
Many commenters criticized the complaint as entitled, with one writing, “It’s a plane, not a restaurant. Stop complaining,” while another joked, “Meanwhile, Emirates gave us Business Class steak when they ran out of our preferred meal.”
