A man long perceived as a beggar on the streets has been revealed to possess substantial wealth, including multiple properties and vehicles, and even employs a personal driver.
Mangilal, 50, who is often seen sitting with a container for alms in the Sarafa Bazaar area of Indore, is not living in poverty as many assumed.
The man reportedly suffers from leprosy and has difficulty walking, which is why he is frequently seen seated on a wooden platform fitted with wheels.
According to investigations by local authorities, Mangilal earns a significant income from the donations he receives.
The money is not only saved but also used as capital for various business investments and economic activities.
Mangilal is reported to own three houses, two three-wheeled vehicles for rent, and a luxury car. From his earnings, he is able to pay a personal driver a monthly salary of around 12,000 rupees (approximately RM530).
Mangilal emphasized that he does not actively beg; rather, people give him money out of pity when they see him seated on his wheeled platform.
