Bella Astillah Clarifies Confusion Over Drama Project With Syed Saddiq

Date:

Actress and singer Bella Astillah has stepped forward to clarify recent confusion regarding an alleged drama project said to feature her alongside her fiancé, Syed Saddiq.

Bella, or Dayang Nabellah Awang Astillah, 32, said no final decision has been made regarding the involvement of the Muar Member of Parliament in a telemovie reportedly under UTV production.

She explained that the earlier statement circulating online was simply a response from her management when media queries were raised about a potential collaboration under the “BASS” project.

“To be clear, there has been no further discussion on this matter. Amber only responded to media questions about a possible joint project,” she said, adding that no official agreement has been confirmed.

Bella shared the clarification on her Instagram account, alongside a screenshot of a news report suggesting that she and Syed Saddiq would be starring in a telemovie together.

She further stressed that, at present, only she is confirmed to be involved in the project, while no plans have been made for Syed Saddiq to participate.

Bella also acknowledged her fiancé’s responsibilities in politics, noting that his primary commitment remains his role as an elected representative rather than acting.

“We understand his position as a politician and his main duty in carrying out his responsibilities. There has been no discussion for him to act in any drama,” she said.

She added that they are grateful for the public’s support, while gently implying that Syed Saddiq will not be stepping into acting projects for now.

For context, Bella Astillah and Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman got engaged on March 28 during a ceremony held in Kuala Lumpur.
