Sandra Levin, mother of music producer Benny Blanco, narrowly escaped harm during a frightening home robbery at her Studio City, California residence on Monday night, police reported.
According to authorities, three masked men broke into Levin’s home at around 9:15 p.m. by smashing a sliding glass door. Alone at the time, Levin ran upstairs and barricaded herself inside a bathroom while calling 911. During the break-in, the suspects allegedly attempted to force their way into the bathroom.
By the time police arrived, the suspects had fled. They were reportedly dressed in dark clothing and masks. No injuries were reported, but several rooms in the home were ransacked, and unspecified items were stolen.
Neighbors and property records later confirmed that Levin was the homeowner. The suspects remain at large, and authorities continue to investigate.
Blanco, 37, has long shared a close bond with his mother, describing her as his “best friend” in a 2024 interview with PEOPLE.
