Benson Boone is officially turning the page. The “Magical Mystical” singer and his girlfriend, Maggie Thurmon, have reportedly split after more than a year together, sources confirm.
The couple, both 23, first went public in March 2024 at the Elton John AIDS Foundation’s Academy Awards viewing party in West Hollywood. Since then, they were spotted at major events like the Twisters premiere in July 2024 and the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards. Maggie even supported Benson on his American Heart World Tour, attending multiple shows, including his September 7 stop in Raleigh, N.C.
Fans first suspected trouble just two days later, when Benson made a cryptic speech during his Nashville performance. “Sometimes people leave your life, whether it’s the right thing or the wrong thing, and it’s always horrible. Always,” he said, according to a fan-recorded TikTok. “Every single time. It sucks. And it sucks to sit in it, and it sucks to be sad about it… but it’s OK.”
While he didn’t name Maggie on stage, Benson confirmed to fans outside the venue later that night that he was going through a tough time. “Today was a lovely show… it was a rough day, so I was very happy to be on stage and see you guys,” he shared in another TikTok clip.
Though the split is private, Benson previously gushed about Maggie’s personality, calling her “the sweetest and the kindest” in a November 2024 interview with Entertainment Tonight.
Fans are rallying behind the singer as he moves on, reminding everyone that even heartbreak can lead to “other beautiful things.”
