Britney Spears used the Christmas holiday to air grievances about her family on social media, but on Thursday, she highlighted that one family member remains in her good graces—and could play a pivotal role in her long-awaited musical comeback.
The 44-year-old pop icon shared videos on Instagram of herself dancing with her 19-year-old son, Jayden, followed by another post suggesting he might soon join her on stage when she returns to performing.
Spears also posted a nostalgic photo from years ago showing her sitting at a white Yamaha piano, smiling at an audience. She vowed to gift the piano to Jayden, hinting at the special connection the pair share and seemingly explaining the earlier dance videos.
In her posts, Spears opened up about the personal benefits of dancing on Instagram. “Interestingly enough, I dance on IG to heal things in my body that people have no idea about. Yup and it’s embarrassing sometimes… but I walked through the fire to save my life…” she wrote.
She also shared details of her long-anticipated comeback shows, noting that she would not perform in the United States due to “extremely sensitive reasons,” but hoped to perform in the UK and Australia soon. Spears added she envisioned herself on stage with Jayden by her side, sitting on a stool with a red rose in her hair.
Gushing over her son, Spears wrote, “He’s a huge star and I’m so humbled to be in his presence!!! God speed, little man!!!”
Her last concerts were part of the Pieces Of Me tour in 2018. Spears had previously stated in September 2022 that she would never perform again, even posting a now-deleted Instagram complaint about having to perform with “the tiniest girls” as backup dancers.
Earlier on Thursday, she shared another photo from her holiday meet-up with Jayden, captioned with a unicorn emoji, signaling that she sees him as rare and unique.
