Chloë Grace Moretz Speaks Out on Dating Brooklyn Beckham Amid Family Drama

Date:

Brooklyn Beckham’s recent explosive Instagram statement about his family has brought renewed attention to his past relationships, including his high-profile romance with actress Chloë Grace Moretz.

The 24-year-old actor and model publicly accused his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, of “controlling behaviour” and alleged that they had interfered in his personal life, including his relationship with wife Nicola Peltz. In his post, Brooklyn claimed that his parents had invited former partners into his life in attempts to sabotage his current relationship.

Prior to his marriage to Peltz in 2022, Brooklyn’s most prominent relationship was with Chloë Grace Moretz, best known for her roles in Kick-Ass, Carrie, and Let Me In. The pair dated on and off between 2014 and 2018, beginning when Moretz was 17 and Beckham was 15.

In interviews during their relationship, Moretz spoke positively about the Beckhams, particularly Victoria. In 2014, she told Andy Cohen that Victoria was “an amazing person” and praised the family’s work ethic. She added that David Beckham was “a great dad” and Victoria “a great mother,” noting that their support mattered most during the challenges of dating in the public eye.

However, she also acknowledged that dating Brooklyn could be difficult due to the constant media attention. In 2016, she told British InStyle that the couple often faced public scrutiny and paparazzi interference, describing it as a “mass frenzy” that prevented them from enjoying private moments.

The couple broke up in 2018, a period Moretz later described as a “hard year.” Since then, Moretz has come out as a gay woman in 2024 and married Kate Harrison in 2025.

Brooklyn Beckham’s revelations have led fans to revisit past social media interactions between him and his family, including posts in which Victoria jokingly compared him to Dennis the Menace. Despite the playful public exchanges in earlier years, Brooklyn has made it clear that he does not intend to reconcile with his parents at this time.

The family feud and Beckham’s recent public comments have reignited discussions around privacy, parental influence, and personal autonomy for those growing up in high-profile families.
