Fans Claim to Communicate with Late Ozzy Osbourne, Sending Blood and Hair to Family

Date:

The Osbourne family has revealed some unsettling fan interactions since the passing of rock legend Ozzy Osbourne on July 22 at the age of 76.

On the first episode of The Osbournes Podcast since Ozzy’s death, Kelly Osbourne recounted instances of fans claiming to communicate with her late father from beyond the grave. “We’ve had quite a few nutters coming out of the woodwork saying that they’re speaking to dad from the grave,” she said.

Sharon Osbourne, Ozzy’s wife of 43 years, shared one particularly strange encounter: a fan sent the family her toenails. Kelly elaborated that the package also included blood and hair, as the fan was convinced she was Ozzy’s child. Brother Jack Osbourne joked, “So we need to do a DNA test. Is that why she sent it? Oh, this is so exciting. We have a new sibling.”

The Osbournes emphasized that while Ozzy was adored by millions—from his Black Sabbath days to his reality TV fame—his passing has attracted some extreme and inappropriate attention. “The ones that get me are the ones that say they’re talking to dad from the grave. It really bothers me,” Kelly said. Sharon sympathized but noted, “There’s always a group of people — the fanatics, the nutters — that will always come out. And, you know, it’s life, unfortunately.”

Jack reflected on the genuine grief some fans feel: “People were like, ‘I never thought I would feel this way about someone I didn’t know dying.’ I think people are genuinely feeling this void, and they’re just like, ‘Holy s—, this guy’s gone.’”

In addition to mourning Ozzy, the family also suffered the loss of their long-time dog Elvis in October. Sharon shared on Instagram: “He gave me 14 precious years. He was by my side until the end. Rest in peace my darling boy.”
