From K-Pop Queen to Tourism Icon: Lisa Named “Amazing Thailand” Ambassador

Date:

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has officially appointed global pop superstar Lalisa “Lisa” Manobal as the “Amazing Thailand Ambassador”, a role that will see her represent the beauty, charm, and cultural identity of Thailand to the world.

TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool said the collaboration marks a major milestone in Thailand’s tourism promotion, adding that Lisa perfectly embodies the country’s modern spirit while showcasing its rich heritage.

“Partnering with Lisa as the Amazing Thailand Ambassador highlights the charm, diversity, and wonder of Thailand from a fresh perspective—one that will inspire both Thais and international visitors to rediscover the magic of Amazing Thailand,” said Ms. Thapanee.

She described Lisa as one of Thailand’s greatest sources of national pride, noting that her global fame and achievements make her a powerful cultural ambassador.

“Lisa’s influence will help share Thailand’s story with the world—its beauty, traditions, and unique identity—reaching audiences far beyond our borders,” Ms. Thapanee added.

Through this partnership, TAT aims to boost global interest in traveling to Thailand, especially by positioning the country as a premium, safe, and experience-rich destination.

As of mid-August 2025, Thailand recorded around 21 million international arrivals, a 7% year-on-year decrease. However, TAT remains optimistic, expecting 12 million more visitors during the upcoming high season, supported by major promotional campaigns and high-profile collaborations like Lisa’s ambassadorship.
