The singer revealed his transformation in a series of SNS posts following the finale of the musical Sugar, sharing a heartfelt message: “Musical ‘Sugar,’ goodbye. Thank you for visiting so much! Don’t forget the good times and let’s meet again next time.”
Photos captured Lee Hong-ki taking a bow on stage, dressed in drag, smiling and waving to the audience. Observers quickly noticed his slimmer frame, sharper jawline, and more defined facial features, marking a dramatic change from his previous appearance.
Earlier, Lee Hong-ki had teased fans with behind-the-scenes photos, including shots of him at an arcade wearing a black beanie and sunglasses, where his gaunt cheeks already hinted at his weight loss. Even baseball player Hwang Jae-gyun expressed surprise, commenting, “Why have you lost so much weight?”
The 14 kg drop was part of Lee Hong-ki’s preparation for the drag role in Sugar. While the diet was performance-related, Lee Hong-ki expressed satisfaction with the results, and fans have lauded his renewed, eye-catching appearance.
