Irish Rockers Kodaline To Perform Final Kuala Lumpur Show At Idea Live Arena This August

Date:

Renowned Irish rock quartet Kodaline has officially announced a stop in Kuala Lumpur as part of their highly anticipated “Farewell Tour.” The band, famous for emotional anthems such as All I Want, Brother, and High Hopes, is set to perform at the Idea Live Arena in Petaling Jaya on 26 August 2026. This performance marks a bittersweet milestone for Malaysian fans, following the band’s October 2025 announcement that they would be disbanding after 13 years of music-making.

The farewell tour news, shared via the band’s official Instagram page on 23 March, serves as a final global send-off. While fans initially expected the group to part ways immediately after their final studio album release in 2026, the quartet decided to embark on a massive final journey across Britain, Europe, Asia, and Australia. The tour will begin in Singapore on 8 August and visit Manila, Seoul, and Taipei before arriving in Kuala Lumpur for their penultimate Southeast Asian stop.

Comprising members Steve Garrigan, Vincent May, Mark Prendergast, and Jason Boland, Kodaline has enjoyed a storied career that began with busking on the streets of Dublin and evolved into a global phenomenon with over a billion daily listeners on Spotify. In a joint statement, the band expressed deep gratitude to their followers, stating that the journey has been unforgettable and expressing hope that their music remains with fans long after their final bow.

Tickets for the Kuala Lumpur show at Idea Live Arena are priced between RM299 and RM1,089, with the latter offering a “Soundcheck VIP Package” for dedicated fans. General ticket sales are set to commence on 2 April 2026 at 2:00 PM local time via GoLive Asia and Fantopia. The choice of Idea Live Arena—Malaysia’s largest indoor arena within a shopping mall—highlights the expected high demand for what will be the band’s final appearance on a Malaysian stage.

The global farewell tour is scheduled to conclude with a final performance in Manchester on 15 December. For Malaysian fans, the 26 August show offers a final opportunity to experience the raw, anthemic sound that has defined Kodaline’s legacy. As the band heads into the studio to record their fifth and final album, this tour ensures they “end on a high” with the community that has supported them since their debut.
